   Rudyard Kipling - In the Rukh  

In the Rukh is a short story of Rudyard Kipling and is the first Mowgli story ever written. In the Rukh describes how Gisborne, an English forest ranger in India at the time of the British Raj, discovers a young man named Mowgli, who has extraordinary skill at hunting and tracking, and asks him to join the forestry service. Later Gisborne learns the reason for Mowgli's almost superhuman talents: he was raised by a pack of wolves in the jungle.

   Rudyard Kipling - The Jungle Book  

The Jungle Book is a collection of short stories of Rudyard Kipling and is widely known as an adventure masterpiece. The best-known of these stories are the three revolving around the adventures of an abandoned 'man cub' Mowgli who is raised by wolves in the Indian jungle. The most famous of the other stories are probably "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi", the story of a heroic mongoose, "Toomai of the Elephants", the tale of a young elephant-handler and Kotick, The White Seal seeking for his people a haven where they would be safe from hunters.

   Rudyard Kipling - The Second Jungle Book  

The Second Jungle Book is a collection of short stories of Rudyard Kipling and is widely known as an adventure masterpiece. It features five stories about Mowgli and three unrelated stories "The Miracle of Purun Bhagat", "The Undertakers" and "Quiquern", all but one set in India, most of which Kipling wrote while living in Vermont. This book is less well-known than the original.
